Our Mission
Stepping Stones Children’s Learning Centre is committed to encouraging each child to grow to become the unique individual he or she was created to be. Through enrollment in our program, your child or grandchild will enjoy a safe and secure environment committed to his or her emotional, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual growth. We are an extension of your family away from home. Our goal is to provide a trusting, caring and nurturing environment.
Our Philosophy
Parents and grandparents feel secure knowing that their children and grandchildren are in a family environment that provides a safe and nurturing atmosphere and fosters independence and a positive attitude toward life and learning.
Our Team
Stepping Stones is a partnership of 4 early childhood educators who each have between 14 to 35 years of experience in the field. We are committed to developing quality programs that encourage children to grow to their full potential while fostering independence and positive attitudes toward their world.
Our staff works with families to ensure that this environment exists for each child. We maintain an OPEN DOOR POLICY to allow parents and grandparents the opportunity to observe their child/grandchild in the program. Our daily programs involve a wide variety of activities including creative play, music, art, outdoor play, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, fun days and field trips. Children are involved in both group and individual activities. Each child is exposed to situations that stimulate curiosity, initiative, independence, self-esteem, decision making, interaction with others and respect for peers and other adults.
